M-learning
m-Learning ou Mobile Learning pode ser definido genericamente como sendo uma modalidade de e-Learning, em que a aprendizagem ocorre através de dispositivos eletrónicos móveis, de fácil manuseamento (como smarphones e tablets, por exemplo). O principal objetivo desta modalidade é permitir o desenvolvimento de processos aprendizagem em qualquer lugar e em qualquer momento.
Blended learning
O blended learning, ou b-learning, é um derivado do e-learning, e refere-se a um sistema de formação onde a maior parte dos conteúdos é transmitido em curso à distância, normalmente pela internet, entretanto inclui necessariamente situações presenciais, daí a origem da designação blended, algo misto, combinado. Também é conhecido como ensino híbrido ou semipresencial.
Teoria-M
Teoria-M é uma teoria que unifica as cinco diferentes Teorias das cordas, mais a Supersimetria e a Supergravidade. Foi proposta em 1995 pelo físico Edward Witten.
